Imagine waking up tomorrow and being told you no longer had the right to stay and live in your home. That is exactly what befell the Windrush generation, immigrants from Caribbean commonwealth countries who were legally entitled to move to and settle in the UK. It is their dedication to the UK that inspired Windrush, our first theme of 2021, which celebrates female writers from the Caribbean or of Caribbean descent.

Check out the video below for exclusive insight on Windrush, and the thought process behind the curation of this spectacular collection.

Windrush is available to purchase and is one of our best yet (though we say that every time). It will sell out, so if you haven’t joined us yet, this collection is a great one to get started – just head over to our subscription book box page to sign up.
